HTC Wildfire slated to receive Android 2.2

Froyo. Who wants it? Well, it looks like the HTC Wildfire is raising it’s hand, and it’s been called on to come to the front of the class.

According to a listing for a Chinese launch of HTC devices, the Wildfire will be shipping in that market with Android 2.2 installed. There was, before, little hope for Wildfire owners to receive the update to Froyo.

Undoubtedly, as time moves on, users and owners of the device will start bothering everyone possible to get the update on their devices. As the update is installed, more development will come out. I hope HTC wildfire will get 2.2 update. I bought one yesterday and I’m eagerly waiting for Android 2.2. Still I’m very satisfied with the phone with 2.1 Thanks in advance HTC!

When is it coming after-all!!?? There are so many versions on the web that I don’ know who or what to trust anymore. I’m running android 2.1 on my wildfire and, although it’s pretty good, I’m desperately waiting for the 2.2 froyo. Especialy for the “app to SD” capability which is very useful on this “memory limited” phone.

Anyone has any trustfull information??? Please.

I hope the Wildfire will get the update. One question though: is it gonna be an update that we will receive automatically or do I have to install manually?

I also have a HTC Wildfire which i bought online and im from Australia. I contacted HTC and they said there will be no Updates YET. Dammit
