With more and more budget conscious tablets coming out, such as the Kindle Fire or Nook tablet, the sub $300 tablet is no longer a myth. Folks are combing the internet looking for deals on tablets. Well if you’re one of those folk looking for a good deal on an Android tablet, Lenovo is selling the IdeaPad A1 for only $199.20 at its online store. This isn’t the first time that this device has dropped below the $200 mark as Lenovo did the same in both September and October. However a lower price does come at a, well, price. It has the following features:

  • 7-Inch (1026×600 resolution) screen
  • 1GHz TI (3622) single-core processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Front 0.3MP, Rear 3.0MP Cameras
  • 16GB storage
  • Android Market Support (Without root or hacking)
  • Android 2.3 (No telling on if it will see ICS)

If you’re in the market for a cheap tablet that does the basics, plus a game or two here and there then this is a good tablet to check out. It won’t run those Tegra games, like Shadowgun, but will get the job done. You can head to the source to check this tablet out. When you go to check out use the code “EMPLOYEEPRICE0119″ to get the discount.

If the code is any indication, this deal is only valid today so I would jump on it if this tablet entices you. While right now there isn’t as much development as there is for the Kindle Fire, its already been rooted and has a working version of CM7 built for its hardware. So with that head on over to the source quick like as this tablet is surely to move fast.
