Earlier in the week we heard that HTC would start selling phones in China under its own name, rather than the moniker “Dopod”, which it has been using up to now. Now along with that comes the news that it will also be preloading Android 2.2 on all models shipping to China. The HTC China website listing for the Desire shows it coming equipped with 2.2 along with HTC Sense. So all signs appear to be positive for imminent Froyo rollouts for devices in other regions.. we hope.
