Droid X Spotted Running Froyo

First the Droid Incredible, now the Droid X. It seems that the whole Droid lineup from Verizon will be getting Froyo sooner than we expected (but still not soon enough). According to Engadget, a tipster recently got the 2.2 update on his Droid X, and it appears that everything checks out. Oh, by the way, you can actually see the baseband version, unlike the supposed 3.0 leak.

Is this for real? Tell us what you think in the comments!

  1. With the same version and baseband as 2.1? I don’t think so.

    I think its bit higher.

  3. That’s interesting, but for some reason, if he was able to get 2.2, we should all be able to get 2.2 … I just recently checked for the update and was still told I was “up to date.” Oh well … in good time :)

Sometimes they only roll it out to a couple at a time, almost like beta testers, if you will.

  5. Right, I’m familiar with that idea :)
