Verizon’s DROID 4 Launch Pushed Back To February

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for those of you waiting for the DROID 4. We told you just a few days ago that you shouldn’t hold your breath on the phone being released today, December 22nd. Now we have an unofficially official confirmation that the phone will not only be delayed– but the phone will be pushed back for a targeted release for February. The gang at Droid Life came across an internal document highlighting Verizon will push the device back from today to February 2nd.

Seems a little unusual, but when you think about it– it’s really not. While the DROID 4 is a slider, it’s still a high-end LTE device. Considering there are already newly launched high-end LTE devices such as the RAZR, Rezound and oh— that precious jewel too, it doesn’t make sense for the DROID 4 to be released when there’s too many phones in Big Red’s lineup dominating the limelight at this time. Plus it gives Verizon and Motorola some time to work out any last few bugs and present customers with a polished and smooth device (hold your saracsm and skepticism at that thought folks). Those of you hoping for the newest iteration of the DROID sliders will have to be patient just a wee bit longer. February isn’t that far away, right?
