Samsung Galaxy Series owners prepare to open your eyes wide for some news. Samsung Tomorrow is reporting Samsung plans to provide the Android 4.0 update for Galaxy devices. The ICS update is slated to begin in Q1 2012 for the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note first, following the other Galaxy devices shortly after. Here’s a run down of the ICS-upgradable Galaxy devices as of this time:

  • GALAXY S II
  • GALAXY S II LTE
  • GALAXY Note
  • GALAXY R
  • GALAXY Tab 10.1
  • GALAXY Tab 8.9
  • GALAXY Tab 7.7
  • GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus

Samsung hasn’t specified whether the international or US versions of the Galaxy devices would get the update first. It’s possible Samsung will update the international versions first, following the US versions, but we’re not exactly certain just yet. We can expect Samsung to make separate announcements on details of the OS updates schedule for each market according to market situation and carriers’ requirements. Only a matter of time gang, only a matter of time.
