MIUI Lockscreen comes to the Android Market as MiLocker

MIUI is one of those love or hate custom ROMS, but I’m a sucker for lockscreens. WidgetLocker is probably the coolest one out there, but it looks the guys at MIUI want to give it a run for the money with the highly customizable lockscreen from the MIUI ROM. It’s now available in the Android Market as a free app, which means everyone can enjoy it, including all the non Hackers.

There are a bunch of themes that you can download from within the app. They include iPhone styles to the zipper style pictured above. Of course, you can’t forget the Ice Cream Sandwich themes as well.

If you take a look at the comments in the Android Market, you will notice a lot of people unhappy with the permissions for reading Gmail and SMS messages. The reason for this is so the app can display them as part of the lockscreen so put your worries aside and head over to the Android Market via one of the links below and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Robert lives in upstate New York where he was born and raised. Technology was always his passion. His first computer was a Radio Shack TRS80 Color that used a cassette tape to save programs, and his first laptop was a Toshiba T1200FB that sported a CGA greyscale screen and two 720kb floppy drives (no hardrive). From the early 90’s through late 2011, he only owned Motorola phones starting with the MircroTAC all the way through to the Droid X. He broke that streak when he bought the Galaxy Nexus. Now he's sporting a Galaxy Note 4, and absolutely loves it. He has a wonderful wife and a 6 year old son. In his free time he enjoys sports, movies, TV, working out, and trying to keep up with the rapid fast world of technology.
