Orange issues statement regarding Android 2.1 delay

There have been a lot of people wondering where and why Android 2.1 is so delayed. Well according to the latest statement from Orange, apparently testing took longer than expected, but Orange devices should start receiving the update early next week.

“We apologise for the delay in Orange Hero customers receiving their Éclair update. Testing the update across European markets took longer than anticipated. However, we hope to receive final approval by the end of the week and Orange handsets should start updating from next week.”

Thanks Conor for sending this in!
