O2 Germany Plan To Launch 6 to 8 Android Phones In 2009

A popular German technology blog is reporting that O2 Germany have revealed plans to launch some 6 to 8 Android powered handsets during the course of 2009.

Revealed during an official press conference at the O2 Innovation Days 2009 in Munich, an O2 product manager was quoted as saying, “we want to get out 6 to 8 Android devices this year.”

O2 Germany is part of the Open Handset Alliance member, Telefonica. Telefonica is currently the the world’s third largest carrier with over 220 million subscribers.
