PSX4Droid Brings Playstation Emulation to Android

PSX4Droid 1.0 has now found its way to availability on the Android market for $5.99, enabling you to emulate your beloved PS1 games on your Android device. As this is the initial release, you can probably expect a few teething problems and the diagonal button/d-pad layout looks a little off (from other videos kicking around it seems a more logical horizontal layout is an option). Of course, you are going to need to source some ROMs for this yourself (I’m sure you won’t have any problems with that), but from the videos below you can see that performance seems to be pretty good, at least on high-end Android phones.

If you grab it, then we would love to hear how it performs and how playable you think it is.

Does it anoy anyone else that we can’t browse media on the ps3 while music is playing? I used to love slideshowing photo’s and playing tunes when I had friends over, why would sony take that away from us?
