First HTC Android G2 Photos – No Keyboard

Are these the first spyshots of the upcoming HTC G2? The new G2 handset seems to almost perfectly match the codenamed HTC Sapphire 2.0 designs that were leaked earlier in the month.

As you can see from the photos this second generation Android phone by HTC is a purely touchscreen model with no physical keyboard.

Noticeably slimmer than the G1, the G2 also features a 3.2 mega-pixel camera.

According to the Gizmodo tipster the HTC G2 is scheduled for release in mid-May. Excited?

  2. OMG only 3.2 Mega Pixel???? How 2007 it is now 2009 a minimum of 5 mega pixel & FLASH please. HTC do not make good phone I hope the Samsung Android is release soon with 5 mega pixel???

  3. no physical keyboard == no interest

Give me a 5 row keyboard version of the Memphis … not the Sapphire.

Oh, and, give me two models: one for T-Mobile 3G, and one for AT&T 3G (work might be about to move in that direction).

  4. No Keyboards?! I’m ganna stick with G1 for sometime then.

  5. Ummm. Still looks like the G1. Better Yet, more like the G1 concept phone that they released.

I like the G1 DEV phone because you CAN put any chip into it and it WILL work. Once one comes out better than that, than I might get it. But for now I’ll Stick with the Current HTC model.

    no keyboard = no sale.

  7. I don’t know about the authenticity of these photos… notice the HTC logo on the 2 front pics of the phones (on one logo is in the middle, on the other it’s on the left), im sure its still in dev stages but wouldn’t they also put “Google” on there too?
