By now I am sure many of you have heard about Motorola’s DROID RAZR variants, packing 13MP cameras. It looks like Moto just made one of those official, the MT917, and will now be available to customers in China along side the previously mentioned XT615.
The MT917 is the RAZR look-alike that has Kevlar backing and a 4.5-inch Gorilla Glass display with a 720 x 1280 resolution. One fancy upgrade the device received was the addition of a 13MP camera, a pretty impressive spec as far as phones go. The MT917 will work on TD-SCDMA bands and it sports a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Support for Moto’s cool webtop application is also included and the device is expected to be released in China mid-December, but we have no confirmation of exact pricing and availability.
As far as the XT615 goes, Moto describes its 4-inch screen as an edge-to-edge display with 480 x 854 FWVGA resolution. The device will be 9.8mm thin at its slimmest point and packs an 800MHz processor with 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front facing camera. Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be on-board as well as Moto Switch UI 2.0. The XT615 will be available in China beginning in December with a price tag of RMB2,999 (about $470).
