Verizon roadmap shows week of November 21 for Samsung Galaxy Nexus release, Motorola XOOM 2 to release on November 30

I know everyone is excited to hear something official on the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Wireless. Although we do have some news, nothing is concrete.

The latest Verizon roadmap (pictured above) shows w/o of 11/21 for the Galaxy Nexus. This can be taken two ways. There is some speculation that it means “web only”, but I think it means “week of”. We’re also told that this document is a work-in-progres so it isn’t final.

Remember the marketing plan we showed you last week? It showed the marketing segment to begin around Monday, November 28th. True, this does not mean a release date, but when looking at the DROID RAZR and Rezound marketing dates, they coincide with the release date. They could still release the phone during the week of November 21 with heavy marketing to begin on the 28th. The bottomline is that both documents seem to line up.

They might just launch this puppy on Black Friday or maybe the day before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately its all speculation until Big Red finally breaks down and makes an official announcement.

On another note, we saw the official announcement of the XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition last week, but only for the UK and Ireland. What about the U.S.? It looks like Motorola might be readying a launch on November 30 for both devices. We are expecting these to be 4G LTE compatible devices. Hopefully Motorola or Verizon will chime in soon.

I wish they wouldn’t beat around the bush so much. If it’s not realeased by the 17th I won’t be getting it. My 30 day return policy on Amazon for my Bionic ends on 11/19. Looks like it might be the Rezound for me…
