Google’s Android Developer Challenge Deadline

android_small_image.jpgToday marks the deadline for the Google Android Developer Challenge 1. The developer challenge opened back in January, in an effort to encourage developers to get onboard with the new Android platform. Google's challenge offered applicants the chance to win $10 million in awards for submitting great mobile apps built on the Android platform.

The panel of judges who will be evaluating the entries are a group of experts in the fields of mobile devices, cellular telecommunications, and software development. Google will select the Judges from the member organizations of the Open Handset Alliance.

Now the first phase of the challenge has come to an end, the second developer challenge will be kickstarted later in the year after the first handsets built on the Android platform become available.
