LG Revolution Receiving Gingerbread Update Today? 2

If you've happened to be hanging around LG's official support forum (like, who isn't these days?) you may have caught a little tidbit about the LG Revolution receiving Gingerbread 2.3 starting today.

“The Ginggerbread Update will start rolling out tomorrow 10/28/11 and all Revolutions should have it by 11/02/11… The Update will be delivered “Over the Air” (FOTA) … More details as I get them.”

And no I didn't misspell Gingerbread, it's the original quote from the forums.  However, when sifting through Verizon's site, we can't see anything corroborating this news. So, at this point, lets just cross our fingers and hope some devices start receiving it today.  If you've received the update, please feel free to sound off in the comments below.  You'll be giving hope to Revolutioners all over.  Is that a word?

  1. Yup got it here in new token this am. both LG v7 software and android gingerbread. So far the phone is faster and better with apps. have had issues typing a little mostly in landscape. internets much faster. they disabled the hidden menu. *#*#4636#*#*

  2. It is true I just got the update and all works fine. You go under phone info and click on update then click on check me and the update takes about 10 to 15 minutes and after that there will be some rebooting and then WALLLA, you are now running the 2.3.4 gingerbread operating system for the LG Revolution.
