rad.io has been providing easy access to radio stations from around the world using a web browser, but recently they launched an app in the Android Market. You can listen to more than 4,000 international radio stations, podcasts, and internet radios for free over 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi.

rad.io launches Android app and updates iPhone app

From now on the owners of Android devices all around the world can use the popular audio service of rad.io on their cell phones. The new app offers more than 4.000 international radio stations, podcasts and genre- or topic-related stations in just one application. It can be downloaded for free on http://rad.io/android. At the same time rad.io launches an update for the iPhone app with a new local feature. The rad.io apps turn smartphones into shortwave receivers.

Hamburg, Oct. 10th 2011. The rad.io for android app offers a broad range of international radio stations, podcasts and web radios and enables users to listen to their favorite stations whenever and wherever they want. This new app presents many features that turn mobile radio into an indispensable pleasure: Well-organized lists of radio stations, sorted by top 100, genre, topic or city inspiring recommendations by the rad.io editorial team and the option to save favorites without registration. With the new home screen widget users can start the station they heard last with only one click.
