I would assume that this free giveaway is to engender some positive feelings toward the company, and it's a nice gesture, but I feel that it may just serve to point out they issues they have to more people. Then when game was installed, and I opened it, it required me to download a very large (around 50 MB, as I recall--about the amount of space that I had left on my phone) file to play it. Could not tell if it would go to my SD card, as the game installed on my Nexus One (running Froyo) and could not be moved to the SD card. So, I uninstalled it all without ever playing it.
