For some handset users, the overall feel and functionality of an Android device equipped with a QWERTY slider is absolutely essential. In this vein, the Canadian carrier Rogers Wireless will add a new Samsung slider, the Galaxy S Glide to their customer’s selection. This device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front cam. Also, it features dedicated menu buttons on both the left and right side if the device.
It’s still too early to know how much Samsung’s Galaxy S Glide will cost you, but initial feedback on the offering is mostly positive and suggests it could be successful in the middle to low price range as the holiday season approaches.
