DROID/Nexus Prime could have a keyboard

Yesterday we showed you the first part of our favorite Panda’s (@black_man_x) latest riddle-poem (released though @tfleming123) which revealed the release date for the DROID/Nexus Prime on Verizon Wireless. Right now the speculation is November 3rd. The rest of the poem has now been released, and it reveals that the Nexus Prime will have a keyboard or there will be a variant with a keyboard.

First, lets recap what was already released:

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright, It’s all in good fun as I share treats and panda fun. So Instead of filling your belly with candies, jellies and other hollows eve fare, perhaps your palate will cast a ballot, for an ice cream sandwich instead. With an internal date now set and LTE a sure bet Those that get Tim Cook’s new pet will be filled with green eyed regret. But wait you cry for what date can you buy? This the panda did shall share…Fore on the date Bruce Wayne’s true father did die; you shall in fact be able to buy in stores of red and black.

Now, here is the dramatic ending:

But those who pay other masters don’t fret, over exclusive deals and bets. For in many other favors you will get your treat be they GSM or wimax radios inside, the nexus brand will ride world wide. But as he lays in the corner with a Beer and a boner the Panda said with a sigh…Be it a Droid or Nexus branded new toy, with dual cores “hd” screens, fancy new widgets and more….The one with the keyboard is what I enjoy”

The GSM and WiMAX radios, dual-core, HD screen, and fancy new widgets aren’t surprising, but the mention of a keyboard certainly is. He seems to imply that they will offer both a keyboard and a keyboardless version, but assuming that’s the case, it’s not clear if all carriers will offer both, or one of the carriers will have the keyboarded version as an exclusive. If it’s an exclusive to one carrier, would they still carry the other version?

Do you remember the AT&T Samsung slider that appeared in July? At that time it was believed to be a Galaxy S II variant. It was never mentioned at last month’s Samsung event, and it has been in hiding since. Could this device actually be a Nexus Prime variant? We were never made aware that it packed an HD screen, but the poem doesn’t state that both versions have an HD screen.

Then there is the Samsung Stratosphere, which is expected to land October 6th on Verizon. I don’t think it’s actually a Nexus device, but why would another Samsung slider show up on Verizon in early November? Hang on because this is going to be a wild ride.

I’ve been waiting for the Prime but if it has a keyboard I’ll get the GalaxyS II.

    I bet they have both.

I don’t think the “AT&T Samsung slider that appeared in July” is the Nexus prime. since it has capacitive buttons and as far as we know ICS doesn’t have any buttons onboard!

I speculate that if Verizon does have a two Nexuses, the one that’s branded Droid Nexus Prime will be the one that’s packing the slide-out QWERTY. If Verizon only has one Nexus it would make sense that it would be branded as Droid Nexus Prime and packing the slide-out QWERTY because the first Droid, which put Android on the map, was packing a slide-out QWERTY and it was very successful for the most part as people are still rocking their Droid 1′s today. Me personally would love a slider Nexus. I’m typing this on a Droid 3 that I recently bought but I’d most certainly upgrade to a phone like that at full retail value if it turns out to be true.

It would be my dream phone.

I think everyone is missing the most important part of the poem “But as he lays in the corner with a Beer and a boner the Panda said” hmm… Boners.. extensions… Boners that extend….. yes I see where this is leading to… Boners that extend must mean Antennas’s…. This can only mean one thing. This phone must have excellent phone reception!
