Facebook gets updated, You can finally tag friends and places

Facebook has been updated to 1.7, and I have to wonder why these improvements were not already implemented.

  • Made it easier to share with who you want
  • Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the web site
  • Added the ability to tag friends and places in photos posts
  • Added new design for Profile and Group Walls
  • Improved photo browsing with swiping
  • Added the ability to tag your friends in photos
  • Improved Messages and Notifications
  • Fixed a number of crashes and performance issues

I don’t use this app much, but it’s finally getting usable. I wish they would fix the widget so that shows ALL newsfeed updates rather than what it feels like showing.

Hit the source link or head to our apps database for the QR code.

I don’t think there is anything they can do to get me to use the actual app ever again. The mobile web version (and can switch to desktop version if need be) works just like it does on a PC.

Still not worth the time though – notifications still don’t work. It’s seriously not rocket science to provide people with a notification when something happens – twitter have managed it. They obviously just don’t care about Android users – they have a silly spat with Google and say sod us all.
