HTC Rumoured To Be Developing First Android Powered Phone - Dream

htc.gifIt is rumoured that High Tech Computer (HTC) what will be possibly the first Google Android powered mobile phone to hit the market.

‘Dream’ as it will be called will boast a large touchscreen and full QWERTY keypad with dimensionsset at 5-inches long by 3-inches wide. The keypad itself will be positioned underneath the screen allowing access via a slide or swivel motion. Presumably similiar to the handset featured in the BBC Android Alpha OS video

HTC face stiff competition from Samsung in being the first handset maker in the world to release a phone developed from the Android platform.

It is believed the handset will be available from the end of 2008, although no official statement has yet been made.
