AT&T has finally put a release date and price on their upcoming high end Android device everyone has been waiting for. The Samsung Captivate is set to release at AT&T stores in 10 more days and the price is set at $200, but you won’t have to worry about any rebates on this deal so just bring a pen and the two bills. The Captivate, which is part of the Galaxy S series, is the top Android phone AT&T will have at this point so expect it to go quickly especially with the features packed into it.
In case you haven’t heard about the Captivate yet here is a breakdown on the specs:
- Powered by Android 2.1
- 1GHz Hummingbird processor
- 4-inch Super AMOLED display
- 5-megapixel camera
- 16 GB on-board memory
- Support for WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS
With the issues surrounding the iPhone 4 and the number of returns that Apple has received, I am curious to see how many users switch to the Samsung Captivate when it releases.
