Gingerbread for DROID Incredible returns with a newer build

I know it has been a long wait for DROID Incredible owners, but Gingerbread might finally be ready. It seemed ready a little over a week ago only to get delayed until September. Trust me, this was a good thing because you don’t want to be plagued by bugs like the DROID X Gingerbread update.

Now it looks like HTC moved a little quicker than expected because support documents are back with a new build (4.06.605.3). It may have started last night so check to see if it is available by going to Settings/About Phone/System Updates. If you were able to pull it, please let us know.

September 2 9:34 p.m. Florida…. Also nothing yet maybe they’re jumping the gun our maybe again only going out to a few people to test again before they push it out to everyone else. It very well could be the end of September before anyone sees it officially. Let’s hope not….. The Dinc is one of the last devices to get this update. I guess all those Droid Blogs that predicted the Dinc would be 1 of the first devices boy were they wrong. I guess they forget that HTC & VZW were behind getting the Gingerbread update on the device & once a newer better device is put out they tend to forget that this was one of the devices that was the flagship phone at one point in time, but alas this is the corporate world & customers are only important when they’re you’re exactly that a potential customer so they’ll say anything to get your business. Then once you signed the contract you’re no longer important.
