I know a lot of you grabbed the HP TouchPad for $99 hoping Android would be ported to it. Even if it doesn’t, for $99 how could you go wrong? Either way we know it is a matter of time as I suspect this tablet will have a huge development community keeping it going. It makes me wish I was able to grab one.
A video surfaced of someone who claims that Android 2.2 (Froyo) was already installed on their TouchPad. We really can’t prove if it is legitimate or not, but it is interesting, so we will let you be the judge. One thing to note is the Quic logo. It stands for Qualcomm Innovation Center. The reason this is interesting is that the TouchPad processor is made by Qualcomm, so it makes sense that they would have a hand in getting Froyo on it.
One more video after the jump
In this next video, the person claims he will have Gingerbread up and running by the 24th and Honeycomb by the 26th. It might be complete nonsense, but then again it might not.
