HTC Evo and HTC Hero kernel sources released

HTC has officially  released the Linux kernel source code for the HTC Evo and the HTC Hero (GSM and CDMA). What does this mean? For the average user, not much. But, for the developers, it means that they can now get everything up and running in their custom ROMs for these devices (like JIT and camera). Although there have been custom made kernels up and functional on the Hero for awhile now (thanks to xda-developers… it’s even been overclocked), it’s nice to see that Google hasn’t simply forgotten about these sources. If you would like to see the kernel releases for yourself, go take a look at the HTC Developer Center.
