Monkey around with your Nexus One long enough, and pretty soon the need to take a screen shot of your device pops up. “No Problem” you think as you head to the app store to download a screenshot app. You then find out that none of the screenshot apps work without rooting your phone, and you’re not ready to do that yet. So what do you do? Taking screenshots on your Nexus One will work, it just requires a bit of elbow grease to set up, but once setup, it’s easy as pie.

Yes there are already guides like this available, but the process has changed a bit, but we’ve simplified it for you and given you all the tools you need to start grabbing screenshots in no time at all.

Looks like it might be easier to just root my phone and download Shoot Me.

It really doesn’t take that long to get setup and for those who don’t want to root, this is an easy solution (and thats why I mentioned in the first paragraph of the article that this is for those who don’t want to root ) :)

And you just found out about this?

I’ve been doing it with my N1 since January.

Got me excited for a minute. I thought it was a new way to take screenshots WITHOUT a PC.

No, but the exact process has changed and most existing guides contain a few unnecessary steps as a result
