Orange UK has announced that its latest model, the Monte Carlo, will launch this week. The specs are as follows:

• 800Mhz processor
• 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen
• Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
• 5 megapixel camera
• Orange HD Voice enabled
• Weight: 140g
• Signal Boost (UMA)
• DNLA Certified
• 3G+

800Mhz seems slow when compared to the dual-core 1+ Ghz phones currently being released but it is reported that a 1 Ghz model will be available by years end.

The phone will cost £149 (approx. $243.48) on PAYG or free on PAYM plans from £20 (approx. $32.69).  Hit the break to check out some more screen shots and a quick demo of what the device is capable of.

Can the Monte Carlo be synchronised with Microsoft Outlook – contacts and calander and, if so, is there a limit to the number of entries on either of these?
