HTC has made it official: the HTC Legend, HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire are slated to get Android 2.2 sometime in Q3 of 2010. What does that mean for users? Well, considering Q3 starts on 7/1 and ends on 10/1, that means that there will be a lot of anxiousness, followed (most likely) by a lot of waiting. According to a spokesman for HTC:
“We are working hard with our partners to update the HTC Sense experience on Froyo and distribute it to our customers as fast as possible. We expect to release updates for several of our 2010 models including Desire, Legend and Wildfire beginning in Q3.”
However, it will be interesting to see if, and how, they are able to make 2.2 and HTC Sense play well together, considering all of the aforementioned phones have HTC’s UI overlay.
