As of today the Samsung Replenish is available in Onyx Black and Arctic Blue. Now for all you who like a more flashy look to your Android device, on July 24th you’ll be able to pick up the eco-friendly phone in a brightly colored, Raspberry Pink.

This Samsung model, branded by Sprint was initially created to promote commitment to environmental awareness, in part by being made out of 80 percent recycled material. This touch QWERTY device, offers the first (sold separately) solar charging battery cover. You can pick this up at the different retailers and Sprint for $50 w/new 2yr contract.

Note: I attempted to upgrade one of my 5 lines to the original Onyx Black Replenish, since of course this Raspberry version is not yet out. I am able to upgrade one of my additional lines if I choose to for the price of zero dollars. So If you’re due for an upgrade, and are savvy about the environment, this might be for you.

Beginning on July 24, consumers will be able to enjoy all the things they love about Samsung Replenish™ in a new color option – Raspberry Pink. It will be available in all Sprint channels, including Sprint.com, 1-800-SPRINT1 and national retail partners including Radio Shack and Best Buy. Samsung Replenish is currently available in Onyx Black and Arctic Blue.

Sprint’s fourth eco-friendly device and first Android in the green portfolio is available for free on sprint.com with a new line or eligible upgrade or two-year service agreement. Additionally, as a special promotion that showcases Sprint’s commitment to environmental responsibility, customers who purchase a Samsung Replenish will save $10 per month on their monthly recurring charges for that line of service.

Leading in Sustainability

Sprint is committed to helping customers protect the environment. In addition to advancing its sustainable product goals, which include launching iconic “green” devices, Sprint is working to manage the environmental impacts of devices using a full life-cycle view, whether it be working with Underwriter’s Laboratory Environment to develop a global green phone standard or enhancing our industry-leading phone recycling efforts.

Earlier this year, Sprint and Samsung Mobile provided a $500,000 grant to the Green Education Foundation (GEF) to help launch their K12 “Sustainability Education Teaching Methods” professional development course. It was first made available during the National Association of Elementary School Principles (NAESP) 2011 annual convention and exposition in Tampa, Fla. With the grant, GEF was able to offer the course to each of the thousands of NAESP conference attendees to educate the next generation about environmental sustainability.

Eco-Friendly Design

Samsung Replenish is partially built with recycled plastics and recyclable packaging making it the ideal choice for the environmentally conscious consumer who needs the latest technology. The stylish touch QWERTY device is offered with the first solar charging battery cover accessory for a wireless phone in the United States (charger sold separately). Replenish is also enabled with Sprint ID which lets customers personalize their device instantly with eco-friendly focused apps and mobile content. Additional features include:

  • Reduced environmentally sensitive materials (RoHS compliant, free of intentionally added polyvinyl chloride (PVC), brominated flame retardants (BFRs), phthalates, and beryllium)
  • Energy efficient, with a charger that meets the EC Code of Conduct on Energy Efficiency of External Power Supplies, Version 4, as well as a visual alert for full charge
  • Casing includes 34.6 percent post-consumer recycled plastic content (the highest level in our eco-portfolio) and 82 percent of the device is made from recyclable materials
  • Fully recyclable packaging that incorporates 80 percent post-consumer waste material and uses soy inks

Personalize with Green ID Pack
