Netflix update will work on Honeycomb tablets

Earlier today when Netflix updated their Android app to 1.3, we wondered why tablets were not supported other than the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 which is not even out yet.

If you install the Netflix stock apk on your tablet, it will work just fine. We have confirmation of it working on the ASUS Transformer, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the Motorola XOOM. You can take the apk from your phone or you can download it from here, and install it like any other apk. There is no hacking involved.

Update: The Transformer seems to be an issue. We heard from some Transformer owners that it worked, but most are saying it isn’t. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks :) Works on Galaxy Tab 10.1, but it has lag & is glitchy. 1.2.1 loaded & was smoother, but wouldn’t “connect” with Netflix servers. So, perhaps the next update will smooth the bugs for honeycomb tablets.

No go on Asus Eee Pad Transformer. “Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit the Netflix website (12001).”
