With all this news on new Android tablets, you can’t leave out Pandigital’s Novel. The 7″ tablet runs Android 2.1 and packs WiFi, a Web Browser, Mp3 and Mp4 compatibility, as well as access to over 1 Million books through the Barnes and Noble online bookstore. How well this 16oz tablet will perform remains to be seen, but for your reading enjoyment I have posted the specs and features below!

Thanks to PanDigital for the info!

    No GPS? :(

This looks like a really cool device, but one that would be better suited as a tablet than an eBook reader like their marketing it. If I were getting an eBook, I’d want something with an e-ink display or somet if hing similar. That could just be personal preference. Kudos on the Barnes and Noble integration though. An iPad competitor perhaps? I’d like to know what kind of processor it’s gonna be rocking.

    Scott,

It’s not a phone… U want GPS, get android phone.

It is not nearly as polished and functional as an iPad. It is not nearly as expensive as an iPad. ($150, including 16GB SD card versus $499 for a wifi only 16gb iPad.)

It is a decent device, and it’ll only get better as the geeks (myself included) keep poking at it to make it run better. If Pandigital does what they say the are going to do and release the source code, all the better. I’ve had mine now for about two weeks, and I have no intention of returning it. I also have moderate expectations about this is capable of today…
