Xperia PLAY, Arc, Neo and Pro getting Android 2.3.4 update? Sony currently testing

According to sources close to Sony Ericsson, there is currently some testing already under way at Sony to bring the Android 2.3.4 update to the Xperia PLAY, Arc, Neo and Pro models this year. Part of the update will also include an addition to the software for Sony’s new audio filter technology called ‘xLOUD’.

The update will be rolling to the said devices sometime around October 2011 if testing goes as planned, again this from the sources at SEMC Blog. To add to the rumor mill, the Xperia X10 is also receiving some Android 2.3.4 testing attention.

Problem is that SonyEricsson is so slow in getting things to customers. If they say out around October expect to be December, or perhaps next year.
Once one of the best mobile manufacturers, now straggling giant unable to catch up with rest of industry.
