Have you ever missed a train/bus and have had to listen to your favourite music or play those addicting games on your Android stood in a boring station knowing you could be sat down on your chosen transport? Well good news! Google have just updated Google Maps to 4.3 and this includes transport information, it indicates train and bus stations giving you the times at which the vehicles are “supposed” to depart, Quite nifty!
The update also includes reviews and comments left by other users for services such as restaurants or pubs, things of that nature, and as if this was not enough; Google have added colour coding to the mix! making it easier to find the best around. Furthermore; if you fancy meeting a friend in a 5 star rated restaurant that you have found then you can share the location using Latitude which is another great feature. It would be interesting to see if that in the future the navigation side of Google Maps does what other SatNav’s do in that it displays areas of interest, or fast food etc etc, give us your thoughts.
The update notifier should have already gone out for this, but if it hasn’t head down to the market now.
