The Vodafone 845 is the latest model from one of the UK’s largest networks. It is not designed to be as good as the HTC Desire or the new Samsung Galaxy S, but more of a budget, for the masses type Android phone. It comes with an average (at best) 2.8″ screen and you can view photos on it that you have taken with its 3.2 megapixel camera. It also comes with 3G support and in-built GPS which is rather good for such a budget handset.
If you’re a fan of Vodafone’s mobile TV and 360 services you will be glad to know that this phone supports both and will have Vodafone’s music store as well. The most stunning thing I find is that this handset is running Éclair, which not even the Sony Ericsson X10 has managed thus far, and of course it comes with the only market you need (the Android market). All in all not a bad device, sure it isn’t going to wow you like the Desire, and it does not have that beautiful super AMOLED screen of the Galaxy S but if you’re dying to get an Android phone, and struggling for the “Bobby De’niro”; then why not check it out, you can grab the 845 for free from £15 a month.
