Last week at E3 was hectic, crazy, busy, frantic…and just plain fun! This week has been nearly as busy, so I apologize for the delay in getting coverage posted, but here goes the first of many E3-related posts! I got to spend some time with Stephen Sneeden of Sony Ericsson’s Product Marketing group, and he gave me a nice little intro to the Xperia Play, the much-talked-about “Playstation Phone.” We discussed the interface switching between game, and he demoed a few Xperia Play exclusive titles, as well as several that will be available on multiple platforms, but “optimized” for the Play. Full video after the break.
Exclusive titles for the Xperia Play announced at E3 are as follows:
Tom Clancy’s Rainbox 6
Battlefield: Bad CompanyPlus a few others that they didn’t have on display, but the Xperia Play has some great exclusives coming soon!
Aside from that, there are a lot of Xperia Play optimized games that will be released on the market on many phones, but will fully take advantage of the Xperia Play’s controls. These including games like Dungeon Hunter 2, Samurai Vengeance 2, Guns ‘n’ Glory, and many others.
Verizon has optimized the game selection process to run very similar to their V CAST game purchasing store…browsing games you currently have installed is virtually identical to the new game purchase process, as you’ll see in the video below. Stephen will show off a few of the games we’ve talked about here and switching between games. Full video is below.
