You know that goody-goody at your office? Yeah, that guy. Employee of the Century, always kisses up to the boss, thinks he’s just a LITTLE BIT BETTER than everyone else? You know the guy. Don’t you ever just wanna chunk a stapler right at the back of his head? Well, I don’t recommend it, but that’s exactly the point of today’s free app from the Amazon Appstore: Office Jerk.
We’ve all played the games where we have to toss a ball at a target while adjusting for the wind variable. Maybe it’s archery, maybe it’s a ball in a cup, but you know the drill. That’s the concept here, except it’s random office objects being thrown at the back of that kiss-up’s head. Plan your throw based on the angle and strength of the office fan, and throw one of 8 different items off your desk to smack the guy. Just tap an item on the desk to “ready” it, and then fling away. You have your choice of a paper wad, pencil, eraser, stapler, coffee mug, egg, fire cracker, or pie. (You have a fire cracker and pie on YOUR desk at work, right?) The weight of the object does not appear to influence how affected it is by the wind (and if the developer happens to read this, I think that would be an interesting addition for a future update), so just pick your item and give it a good toss. Simple, direct…effective.
Office Jerk is a fun little time-waster that’s quick to pick up, but not too demanding in case you need to put it back down in a hurry…like when your boss walks in. It’s a modest 10MB install, and today it’s completely free via the Amazon Appstore, so there’s no reason not to grab it and give it a spin. It’s a better choice than ACTUALLY throwing a stapler at someone in the office, and ALMOST as satisfying. Plus, it won’t get you fired*.
