Rumors of the new Verizon Droid X have been spilling across the internet for some time now, with more and more details rolling out. The coming soon flag on Verizon’s website may soon have a date, however some people speculate the launch to be June 23rd, to directly compete with the  iPhone 4  which releases on June 24th, but no official word has yet been given. To add to the hype of the Droid X, Verizon’s latest  ad shows an eyeball with a backwards reflection of what appears to be a Twitter account. Careful inspection of the reflection shows the word @DroidLanding. This Twitter page  contains information about a possible contest to find Droid X phones scattered across the country.

“The next generation of does is coming soon, but you might get yours before that. Droid X phones are hidden across the country. Follow us for clues.”

While no specific details on this Twitter account, nor any pending contest have been released, I am sure this will cause more excitement for those Driod X hopefuls out there.  If you or anyone you know has any information as to the location of these phones or contest details please contact your local TalkAndroid.
