XDA user, flexnix, has attached a fisheye lens to his LG G2x. If you are wondering what a fisheye lens is, here is the Wiki definition:
In photography, a fisheye lens is a wide-angle lens that takes in an extremely wide, hemispherical image. Originally developed for use in meteorology to study cloud formation and called “whole-sky lenses,” fisheye lenses quickly became popular in general photography for their unique, distorted appearance. They are often used by photographers shooting broad landscapes to suggest the curve of the Earth. Hemispherical photography is used for various scientific purposes to study plant canopy geometry and to calculate near-ground solar radiation.
Flexnix had originally used it on his Samsung Vibrant. It is easily removable since the lens has a magnetic ring on the rear that will attach to another ring that you apply to the camera on your phone with some adhesive. He says the flash will be semi-blocked.
He doesn’t go into where you can buy one, but you can find them online. I did find a video demonstrating how it works on an EVO. If you are interested in this, I am sure you can adapt it to any Android phone. Make sure to hit the source link for more photos and to join the discussion.
