Let’s face it, a lot of Android’s continued world domination will come from the cheaper or entry level devices. Today Vodafone introduced the “Smart” or the Vodafone 858.
The specs are as follows:
- 2.8-inch (320 x 240) capacitive touch screen
- Android 2.2
- quadband 2G
- 2100 MHz 3G capable
- WiFi and Bluetooth, and GPS
- 2 megapixel camera
- 1200 mAh battery
Okay I know you hardcores have no interest in this, but if you think about it, there are a lot of consumers out there that don’t even have a smartphone yet or are just not savvy. I know a lot of people who own a really nice smartphone, but don’t do much more with it other than texting and calling. For 99 Euros this can only help Android continue to dominate.
