More and more these days the mobile carriers are putting locks on what you can and can’ t do with the smartphone that you spent your hard earned money on. Well, XDA has reported on something new by member ‘enzola’ called Android Injector. Through this application you can install an apk directly to you phone from your personal computer via USB.
I’m sure there are many of you out there frustrated that your pal wants to send you a cool app, and you come to find out you cannot install apk’s from ‘unknown sources’. Which essentially means, if it ain’t in the Android Market it ain’t going on your phone. But this is a great way to installing those out of market apps you’ve always wanted to try, without having to root your device.
Now head over to the XDA thread and try out Android Injector and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Also let the developer know what you think. These hard working guys that bring us all this cool stuff really deserve some credit, and at the very least some positive feedback on what they’ve accomplished.
