While it is exciting to see Android-based tablets being announced and coming to the general public, to quote a common phrase, true beauty is on the inside. This is a great way to describe NEC’s LifeTouch tablet, because while it’s innards are based on our favorite mobile OS, it’s exterior is… less than gorgeous, to say the least. With it’s ARM Cortex A8 processor, 7″ screen and Android 2.1, this tablet is supposed to be released in Japan in October, but mainly to businesses, which may be why NEC paid a little less attention to the aesthetics of this little guy. Either way, if you’re looking for an Android based tablet… this is still an option.
