Everyone seems to be jumping on the Honeycomb tablet bandwagon so why shouldn’t Lenovo? Plans for a Lenovo tablet has leaked.

Lenovo is combining elements of the HTC Flyer and Asus Eee Pad Transformer. They are incorporating stylus software with a “true pen” option for “sketching and note-taking.” and they will incorporate a keyboard dock called the keyboard booklet and cradle.

It will be called either the Thinkpad Tablet or Thinkpad Slate and some of the features include:

  • NVIDIA Tegra 2
  • 1280 X 800 IPS capacitive display
  • Choice of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB
  • Front and rear facing cameras
  • USB 2.0, Micro USB, and mini-HDMI ports
  • Full-sized SD card slot.
  • 3G/4G connectivity options

The keyboard booklet and cradle does not look as nice as the Asus Transformer, but again we are only going by the following picture:

It looks like Lenovo has created their own skin on top of Honeycomb that they call Lenovo Family UI. Lenovo has been known for the corporate market segment and it looks like this tablet will continue the trend. The are promising “seamless integration with your existing IT infrastucture.” It will support Cisco’s enterprise software. Symantec, McAfee, and Computrace will be offered as security apps. Check out the following slides to see how they are going after enterprise:

This new tablet is expected to be released by late summer and will be price around $499. This will most likely be for the 16GB version. The keyboard booklet and cradle pricing is unknown.
