Google Hits Pause on Gingerbread Update for Galaxy S, Says It Needs More Work

Well, after the debacle that was the Galaxy S Froyo update, this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, but we were so proud when Samsung started updating Galaxy S phones to Gingerbread over in Europe last week. Alas, it was too good to be true. Vodaphone released word today that the update has been pulled due to complications, and Google has declared it not ready for primetime quite yet. This is a little surprising to Vodaphone themselves, who apparently has had no problems, but Google has spoken. Hopefully at least the unaffected carriers can get things rolling again soon. And hopefully they can get the kinks worked out quickly enough that those of us over here in the states with Galaxy S phones (like yours truly) might see Gingerbread before my two-year agreement is up.

I do trust all of the concepts you’ve introduced on your post. They’re very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for newbies. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
