Do you have a Motorola Bravo? Have you been dying to get Froyo on your device? Well, brothers and sisters, rejoice with me, because the official update is now live! That’s right, folks… all the icy goodness you could want from your device, now available – and official.

According to Motorola, the additions in the update include:

  • Profiles: Added profiles feature that provides three customizable sets of home screens to give you access to the apps, shortcuts, and widgets you want, when you need them.
  • Dialer Search: Phone numbers and contacts can now be searched from the dialer screen by entering the first few letters of the contact’s name or first few digits of the contact’s number.
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn® social network accounts can now be added to integrate with contacts, social networking updates, and messaging.
  • Security: Added new security features, including Exchange-based encryption and password security.

So, if you’re patient, you just might get an OTA update tonight or tomorrow. If not, you can swoop straight to the source link and check out the installation instructions yourself. Be sure to let us know how you like the update in the comments!

I got this “update” on my phone on April 15th….and I HATE IT. I loved my bravo before this, but now all it does is freeze, not respond to my touch, pull up things I didn’t click on, etc. My contacts are also all messed up, they don’t all appear in my contacts list, even though they are there. I had to do a factory reset after the update, because the update caused my phone to “crash” basically and I’ve had nothing but problems since then. I’m really disappointed. I only had my Bravo for 6 weeks before this and I was really enjoying it, and now I can’t stand to use it because it only frustrates me.

Same here….I can’t figure it out because all the techy’s wanted 2.2….I was one of them…but now it is unpredictable

We have 3 Bravo’s. 2 of them went to a black screen after the update and had to be factory reset. All 3 are slower, pause at odd moments and stop responding and occasionally crash. None of the phones had had any problems at all in 3 months before the update. I am very disappointed – we went with the Bravo because of good reviews. The only way I can get my phone to run reasonably smoothly is to shut all but the bare essentials off. No apps at all. Also battery life has gone from 1.5 days to 14 hours!
