AT&T Not Yet Ready For Android

Speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit today, AT&T's CEO of Mobility and Consumer Markets, Ralph de La Vega, spoke briefly about the Android platform and it's future with AT&T.

De la Vega said AT&T continues to look at Google's Android operating system but is not prepared to make any moves to carry any Android phones. He said the platform is still evolving and needs to open up even more to offer a wider array of non-Google applications.

De la Vega has previously expressed concerns about being locked into only offering Google applications on Android powered handsets.
