TELUS Reveals Froyo and Gingerbread Update Schedules

Canadian carrier TELUS, has informed MobileSyrup that a Gingerbread update should be arriving sometime in the Spring for the HTC Desire and Desire HD.  Meanwhile, they have also stated that an official Froyo update will be rolling around “very soon” for the Motorola Milestone.   The company has also promised update plans for the Samsung Galaxy Apollo to receive Froyo in the Spring and Gingerbread to the LG Shine Plus by summer’s end.  The LG Shine Plus will most likely skip Froyo and directly receive the Gingerbread update from Eclair, which I’m sure no one will argue with.

HTC has already confirmed that the Desire series devices will receive the Gingerbread update sometime in Q2.  So, hopefully TELUS customers can rest assured that they’re not too far behind.  Furthermore, the European Milestone received their Froyo update today, hopefully confirming all the more that TELUS models are up to bat next.  Let us know what you think in the comments below.

That’s awesome that Telus is stepping up their game in software update and releasing hardware. I just hope they get the HTC Pyramid! I love my desire but I want more. I hope HTC develops a Quad core Tablet soon!
