It’s time to rev up the hype train for the Galaxy S10, even if we still have to get the Galaxy Note 9 out of the way first. The next major rumor of Samsung’s 2019 flagship is here, and it might point to Samsung actually releasing three models early in the year. Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S10 Pro?
The three internal nicknames for the phones are Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2, and the biggest differentiator among the three is in the rear camera setup. Supposedly we’ll be seeing a regular camera model, the dual camera system that we’ve seen in the Galaxy S9+, and a new triple camera setup like what Huawei has dabbled in. The first two models will have the same 5.8-inch screen, but only the Beyond 2 with the triple cameras will have the larger 6.2-inch display. Confusing? Just a bit.
Flagship smartphones are already getting pretty convoluted, even when it comes to Apple who is typically known for slim, simplified product lineups. They released three flagship phones late last year (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X) opening the door for potentially three major devices at once. If nothing else it certainly gives customers plenty of options when it’s time to pick a new phone.
