If you’re a big spender visiting or living in either San Francisco or the Big Apple, Bloomberg has some news that may interest you. According to them, Google will be rolling out trial runs of its NFC (Near Field Communication) technology for mobile payments in these two cities within the next four months or so. What this means for you, the end user, is that you’ll be able to use your mobile phone to make purchases, making your pocket that much lighter. That said, this will probably be available exclusively for the Nexus S (given that it’s the only American phone equipped with NFC technology) and there’s no word of what retailers are going to be involved in this test. Stay tuned to see how this unfolds. I for one am very interested to see if this technology takes off. How about you? Let us know in the comments!
