One of the coolest features of Inbox was its Smart Reply feature, which has since made its way to Gmail directly. The feature allows users to quickly shoot off replies to emails based on the content of those emails, and it was a huge time saver for anyone that needed to reply to a ton of emails.
So what’s the next step for Smart Reply? Well, Google wants to write the emails for you instead of just doing replies, so they’ve built Smart Compose for Gmail.
Smart Compose uses AI to figure out what you’re trying to talk about and suggest words and even full phrases, like autocorrect on steroids.
Google said this feature is rolling out to Gmail users over the next few weeks. And be sure to keep up with the rest of our Google I/O 2018 news!
