First announced during MWC 2018 in Barcelona back in February, the new Nokia 6, or 6.1 as it is now known, will be available to purchase in the US from May 6, having previously launched in India and China. Both Best Buy and Amazon are said to be stocking the Nokia 6.1 from Sunday onwards with a price tag of $269.
Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot. There’s a 5.5-inch IPS display with 16:9 aspect ratio with Full HD resolution and not a notch anyway to be seen. A single 16MP camera sits on the rear panel above the fingerprint reader, and there’s an 8MP front-facing camera to take care of those selfie pics. A non-removable 3,000mAh battery is also present that can be charged via the USB Type-C port. All of this is housed in a Series 6000 aluminum unibody with 2.5D glass covering the display.
The Nokia 6.1 is already available to pre-order from Best Buy while Amazon will let you check out with the promise of shipping it when it comes in stock. What do you think of the Nokia 6.1?
